“What works for me with Milli is that she understands the link between personality and writing. Her assignments are frighteningly on-target for a writer’s inner self. It’s scary how she can pick up the personal vibrations and tailor lessons accordingly. If she were a one-size-fits-all coach, it wouldn’t work for me.”

CAN I TALK TO SOMEONE YOU’VE COACHED?
Yes. One of my regular clients has offered to talk to anyone considering my coaching service. During the free consultation you can ask me for her phone number and email address.
DO I NEED LOTS OF PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS A WRITER?
For new writers, I recommend my online course, known as the Fear of Writing Online Course. A coaching program can always follow the completion of the course, if so desired. In fact, this is the path to my coaching service most commonly taken by new writers.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO BE COACHED TO GET THE RESULTS I WANT?
This depends on your writing goals and your budget, which we can explore together during the 1-hour free consultation. Every week for a period of time is usually the most effective. Twice a month can also help if you can’t afford a weekly program. You’ll find out more about what’s involved on the Coaching Fees page (opens in a new browser tab).
WHAT EXACTLY DOES YOUR COACHING SERVICE PROVIDE?
One week of coaching consists of a one-hour coaching session, a writing assignment designed especially for your needs, feedback on your completed assignment, unlimited email/text message accountability follow-ups and support phone calls whenever you need them..
Yes, I can help you finish your book. But, as in anything, there’s a broad range of human experience. Depending on their issues, some writers need more time, and some are fast workers. Below are some examples.
I have a client who had not written much in seven years but who wrote the first draft of her first novel in about a month with the third assignment I gave her because she was so on fire with the assignment. (She was working on it night and day, so her results are not the average.) I also had a client who happily finished a book she had been stalled on finishing for five years, and she is now a published author. I currently have a client in her 70s who is finally writing the novel she conceived of decades ago, and it is nearing completion. Hers has taken longer, but she doesn’t mind because it’s fulfilling a cherished dream.
WILL MILLI KICK ME UP THE BUTT TO GET ME MOVING?
My style is to motivate you with genuine, caring enthusiasm and inspire you with the riches of your own imagination. As in everything I offer to writers, the underlying theme is to have fun and embrace the Inner You.
I also provide an accountability program designed especially for you. Each client is different in how they want to be held accountable. I will listen deeply and base it on your needs.
WHAT KINDS OF ASSIGNMENTS WILL I GET?
Your assignments will be tailored to your personal creative journey. Each assignment is created especially for you by me in response to what you express during the coaching sessions, and based on whatever it is you are wanting to write.
First, I would help you determine whether the assignment is actually not suited to your needs or whether you’re experiencing resistance. Sometimes attempting an assignment you think you don’t like melts the resistance away and you end up getting to something you didn’t realize was waiting to emerge.
If you truly don’t like an assignment (or it’s not right for you), there’s an easy solution: I will design a new assignment for you the same day.
I wish I had done this sooner. There are so many distractions in life—including my own indecision about what I should be writing or working on next. Making a choice about how to proceed and committing to a coaching program takes the noise away. I’m already feeling more successful, relaxed and confident than I was a few weeks ago.
